Summary:

Olivia Hollins-Payne would give anything just to have one baby. She’s had several miscarriages and now to make matters worse, her bosses want the character she plays on a television series to have a baby. She knew it was coming, but she just had another miscarriage. The pain is deep within her soul as she fights to figure out how she can continue when it conflicts with what she wants in her personal life.

Kristina Beckett lives in the shadow of Olivia, her older sister. She’s a teacher and is pretty sure her husband, Landon, is cheating on her with his secretary. She just doesn’t want to believe it, easier to live in denial until the truth slaps her in the face when he gets his secretary pregnant. She has to evaluate what the next step is in the life for her and her daughters.

Their mother, Elaine, has devoted her entire life to raising her now adult daughters. She gave up her own career for them and now has no idea who she is as an individual. Her husband, Andrew, tries his best to get her to let go of their children and live for herself. Figure out what she wants in life and he’ll do it, whether it’s starting her career again or leaving on a spontaneous vacation. He knows she’s not happy and will be the support post that he’s always been in whatever choices she makes.

Annabeth Chadwick is Olivia’s best friend that was forced in a career she hates. Sierra has always made great plans for her daughter, wanting her to have a better life than she had and not to waste her life on what she believes is a fruitless career. It’s why Annabeth became a lawyer, not wanting to disappoint her own mother. She drinks and smokes to hide the pain from being forced into law and now Sierra wants her to run for office.

The women must each rely on their own inner strength to overcome their obstacles. It could mean relying on another person, standing up for yourself or brooding in silence. The strength that is inside every woman screaming to be released.
